Consider Promming

For those seeking a more immersive and affordable experience, "promming" is a unique option. Promming involves purchasing tickets on the day of the performance for a reduced price, allowing you to stand in the Arena or Gallery areas. Keep in mind that these tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may require queuing.

Keep an Eye on Proms Plus Events

In addition to the main concerts, the BBC Proms often hosts Proms Plus events, including talks, workshops, and discussions. Some of these events are free, while others may require a separate ticket. Check the schedule for these enriching experiences and consider incorporating them into your visit.

Last Night of the Proms tickets

For the highly anticipated Last Night of the Proms 2024 in September, there will be a separate sale due to the high demand for tickets. Each booker is limited to purchasing two tickets. There are four ways to acquire Last Night of the Proms tickets: through the Five-Concert ballot, general sale, purchasing a whole season pass, or day promming.

The Five-Concert ballot is open to those who have already bought tickets to at least five other concerts. Participants are entered into a ballot and can apply for up to two tickets. The ballot generally closes in June.

The general sale offers tickets that can be purchased online, via telephone, or in person, as mentioned earlier.

A whole season pass includes admission to the Last Night. Pass holders who wish to attend the Last Night generally must claim tickets online in early September.

Day promming is available for the Last Night of the Proms as well and can be purchased on the day of the event.

A limited number of Last Night Promming tickets will also be available for individuals who have attended at least five concerts throughout the season. These tickets can usually be purchased from the Box Office at Door 12 on specific dates in July, August and September.

Enjoying the Proms at home

For those unable to attend the concerts in person, there are still opportunities to enjoy the BBC Proms. Every Prom held at the Royal Albert Hall will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. Additionally, most of the concerts will be available on BBC Sounds for listening back for up to one year. The BBC will broadcast a number of programs, and catch-up options will be available on BBC iPlayer.

The BBC Proms 2024 promises an exceptional lineup of music, with a combination of classical and modern compositions performed by renowned musicians and ensembles.
